Camerata Quartet has performed in most of European countries as well as in Japan and the USA. It was a prize–winner at some renowned international music competitions such as those in Tokyo (1989), Munich (K. Klingler Preis 1990) and Paris (1990), where it won first prizes. At the beginning of its career the Quartet studied under professor Eberhard Feltz at the Hans Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin, subsequently attending master classes conducted by Emanuel Hurwitz, Kurt Lewin and Fyodor Druzhynin.
Contacts with the world-famous Amadeus Quartet, under which the quartet worked during summer courses in London, further contributed to shaping the ensemble's style.
The base of Ensemble's repertory is a great classical and romantic literature, but the quartet plays also XX century's music, even the most recent one.
The Camerata Quartet has also a considerable number of recordings to its credit, done for German, Belgian, Swiss, American and Polish radio stations. It co-operates with German company – THOROFON, for which it recorded CDs with Guillaume Lekeu's chamber music and Stanisław Moniuszko and Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński's quartets. Those records have had very good critique. The complete edition of Lekeu's deeds gained a title of „Golden Diapason” (magazine „Diapason” No. 410-1994) and „Sforzando” (monthly magazine „Crescendo” No. 14 –1995)
The Camerata Quartet's CD with Schubert's music, recorded by DUX was entitled „The CD of the Year 1995” by polish monthly CD magazine „Studio”.
The Camerata Quartet cooperated with great musicians and ensembles.
The Ensemble's achievements were recognised in 1991, as they received the Stanisław Wyspiański Prize. The Quartet was nominated for the polish record industry's awards „Fryderyk '95”, „Fryderyk '97” and won this prize in 1998.
Besides concerts and recordings the Camerata Quartet leads winter courses for string quartets in Gorlice, PL.
